Flags flew, the National Anthem rang throughout the park, and Six Flags Great America celebrated Independence Day by hosting a three day long event with festivities and celebrations. July 4th Fest at Six Flags was sponsored by Coca Cola, and was very well put together. There were fireworks, parades, and live music to make the weekend special and allow the spirit of America to shine.
For some good news, American Eagle had both of its blue trains out and running. After a talk with one of the supervisors, I learned that some of the coaster's trains were not able to be running on opening day, because Goliath was already using all of the park's maintenance positions, so there was nobody to work on the extra trains.
Coasters are my passion. It's what I do, it's who I am.
