A special treat for you while we wait for the parks in the cold weather climates to open... some photos of Elitch Gardens in Denver. I stopped by the park because there were rumors of construction going on and I wanted to check it out first hand.
One thought about what it could be: Elitch Gardens may receive a flying scooter. This is a spinning ride with vehicles that enable riders to control the ride movement (up/down).
This next attraction is probably way out of the range of possibility for the new attraction, but if it did happen, it would make a killer flagship ride for Elitch's. The ride I am talking about is a Poler Coaster, which is basically a giant tower with a coaster spinning around it. The normal version of this ride, which exceeds the 500 foot mark, might have to be scaled down a bit to fit into the piece of land Elitch Gardens has.
Twister II has an interesting past. It started as Mr. Twister at the old Elitch Gardens and received rave reviews. The park then moved to its current location and Mr. Twister transformed into Twister II with a new layout. The park claims on the ride entrance sign that it is "built wilder the second time around." However, many enthusiasts disagree with that statement.
I hope you enjoy the photos from my quick trip to Elitch Gardens. Hopefully, the mystery attraction will be revealed soon.
Coasters are my passion. It's what I do, it's who I am.
