Busch Gardens Tampa's newest roller coaster is called Cobra's Curse and will be opening in 2016. This family spin coaster will feature a twisted track and spinning trains to create a wild, crazy experience. Riders will be hoisted to the top via a horizontal elevator lift system, which is a rare element for coasters. The maximum drop is seventy feet high, and that should be plenty of height to induce the spinning craziness. Even though there will be a spinning section, part of the course will also be taken forwards and backwards. With all of those different ride experiences, Cobra's Curse is sure to be an insane ride!
The official teaser video for Cobra's Curse is shown above.
Analysis: While this will never be the mot intense or thrilling coaster ever, it is sure to be a ton of fun. Cobra's Curse is meant to be a family ride, and Busch Gardens does a good job of allowing mostly everyone of all ages to ride. The park did this with Cheetah Hunt, and Cobra's Curse proves that they can create a good, high quality attraction for everyone. The ride looks thrilling enough where thrill seekers will not be bored, and not overly intense where not everyone will want to ride. The entire theme of this section looks great, especially the large cobra figure towering over the coaster. This ride has it all, with a possible dark ride, backwards, forward and spinning sections.
Coasters are my passion. It's what I do, it's who I am.
