Busch Gardens Tampa is Florida's leading thrill ride park. There are various coasters located in Busch Gardens including Kumba, Montu, and Cheetah Hunt. Kumba is a looping coaster with seven inversions, along with a lush landscape around the coaster. Montu is essentially the same idea as Kumba, however inverted, leaving riders screaming under the track. Cheetah Hunt is dubbed as an "extreme family coaster", and I would say it fits the name - not too intense that the little ones won't enjoy, but still great so coaster enthusiasts want to ride. The park also has a African landscape with many animals, which offers an experience most theme parks cannot conjure. In addition, Busch Gardens has an adjacent water park called Adventure Island with many slides and a tropical theme.
An effect known as the splashdown is utilized on Sheikra. When the train passes by, special scoops located on the train blow water into the air. Busch Gardens went above average and actually integrated this effect into the midway by creating the "Sheikra Wave", where water blasts over the midway, soaking unsuspecting guests.
Busch Gardens Tampa was a nice coaster excursion. Cheetah Hunt remained my favorite of all of the rides, so look forward to a review I will have posted by next Friday (5-2-14).
Coasters are my passion. It's what I do, it's who I am.
