Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Fiesta Texas has just reached an important milestone - the track work is now complete. On March 25, the construction crew hoisted the ride's final piece into place. This means that the ride is now a complete circuit, and the construction crew can take a step back from the heavy lifting and prepare the ride to begin testing. The scheduled opening is in about two months (May 23rd), so it shouldn't be too much longer until Batman makes its initial flight. We should be seeing testing start in a few short weeks.
The cranes carefully position the ride's final track segment onto the top of the lift hill at the apex of the coaster. Now that the construction of the ride is complete, the lift mechanism should be installed relatively soon. Photo credit: Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

It's exciting to see the crews make such quick work of this ride's construction work; they started track work just about a month ago. Now that track work is complete, the electrical components are next to be installed, which includes the lift system, ride sensors, and brakes. After that, the coaster will be ready to run. Testing should be really interesting to watch, because the ride has spinning seats, and I am interested to see how those turn out and how much they spin. This is a new prototype from S&S Rides, so there may be a few setbacks, but I am still confident that they will make the scheduled opening date of May 23rd. I'm super excited to hear how this coaster turns out, and hopefully, I'll be one of the ones that gets to experience Batman: The Ride in the summer.
