The past weekend, Six Flags Great America celebrated its 40th season of operation, and all of the new scheduled additions are open. For a few weeks, I've had my eye closely on the construction of the three new flat rides in the all new for 2015 Hometown Park section. I am happy to report that all three rides are now open, and the new rides look great - the littler riders now have a new thing at the park to do, and they seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the new attractions.
Busch Gardens Tampa's newest roller coaster is called Cobra's Curse and will be opening in 2016. This family spin coaster will feature a twisted track and spinning trains to create a wild, crazy experience. Riders will be hoisted to the top via a horizontal elevator lift system, which is a rare element for coasters. The maximum drop is seventy feet high, and that should be plenty of height to induce the spinning craziness. Even though there will be a spinning section, part of the course will also be taken forwards and backwards. With all of those different ride experiences, Cobra's Curse is sure to be an insane ride!
Coasters are my passion. It's what I do, it's who I am.
