With only a month until Banshee media day, and thirty two days until the official opening, Kings Island is working hard to get the rides and coasters ready, including the new-for-2014 Bat and Banshee. The Banshee has begun testing, which means we are not that far from opening day. There are also new food options that will be offered, such as the Banshee Twist ice cream cone.
Banshee has started testing! The train is about halfway up the lift hill - it's just after the loop that surrounds the lift.
Here's a view from ground level of one of Banshee's first trains making its way through the loop that surrounds the lift hill.
Banshee's first train screams through the dive loop.
Can you spot the train? Hint: it's into the second half of the course, on one of the inversions.
For the new season, Kings Island serves up a Banshee-themed ice cream treat called the Banshee Twist. Doesn't it look delicious?
Banshee isn't the only new thing at Kings Island this year. The old Flight Deck will transform into the Bat, to fit the theme of Banshee. In this photo, Flight Deck is being repainted with two shades of charcoal for the supports, and an orange tone for the track.
Kings Island will post their 2014 park map April 1st, so I will probably post about that when it happens.
