About Me: Roller coasters are my passion. It's what I do, it's who I am. I loved riding coasters ever since I took my first ride on the Demon at Six Flags Great America when I was six years old. While the Demon is not my favorite coaster anymore, I still enjoy just about every coaster I ride. Since then, I have loved the thrill, speed, and intensity of roller coasters, and can never get enough of the this passion. Every year, I visit new parks, return to old ones, and I feel as if the passion grows each year. I love writing about roller coasters, talking about them, and of course riding them! I've ridden about 250 coasters, and most of my favorites are high thrill launched coasters. In fact, my favorite coaster happens to be Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure, which is the tallest coaster in the world and fastest in North America. The faster, the better is what I always say. There is also something special about a great coaster lit up in a black, night sky.
Creation of Journey Through Coasters: I had been brainstorming for a few months of ideas to create a blog dedicated to roller coasters, well written reviews of rides, as well as trip reports and other theme park related happenings. It all came to fruition on the night of January 26th, 2014 as Journey Through Coasters. The first "push" to encourage me to create this blog was when I was selected to go on a backstage tour of the Goliath construction site at Six Flags Great America in the middle of winter. I was one of nine people on that tour, so I knew this was a motivation to get me started on Journey Through Coasters. I brought my camera along, taking photos, and after, writing a trip report that is one of the first posts on this blog. Ever since then, I have continued to write, and joined my eighth grade English teacher's creative writing club to enhance my writing, and improve the writing on this site, and also encouraged me to keep writing. It has now been a few months since I started this site, and I'm not looking back. I really enjoy bringing you coverage, and I hope you enjoy as well.
